Trustmary Alternatives for Teams That Only Want Testimonials
Trustmary bundles surveys, NPS and testimonials. If you only ever used the testimonial half, here is how to choose what replaces it.
Trustmary combines testimonial collection, review widgets, NPS surveys and some lead capture in one product. That breadth is the reason people pick it, and it is also the most common reason people look for something else: you end up paying for and configuring a survey platform when what you wanted was testimonials on your pricing page.
If you are evaluating alternatives, the useful move is to work out which half of Trustmary you were actually using.
If you were using it mainly for surveys and NPS
Stay, or move to a dedicated survey tool. Most testimonial products do not run NPS programmes, and replacing a survey platform with a testimonial widget will leave a real gap. Be clear with yourself that the survey side is the part you need before you switch.
If you were using it mainly for testimonials on your site
Then you are paying for a lot of surface you do not touch, and the questions worth asking a replacement are narrower:
How fast is collection to set up? A link you can send today, with no configuration, beats a form builder you have to learn.
How many display formats does it have, and do they match your pages? A wall of love, an inline grid, a floating widget and a single quote are different jobs. Count the layouts that actually fit where you want proof to appear.
Does it handle video without a separate tool? Video is the hardest format to collect and the one people most often say they find convincing. Browser recording with no app install removes most of the friction.
What does it cost at your size? Testimonial pricing usually keys off collections, testimonials, or seats. Work out which one you grow along before comparing headline numbers.
Can it show whether the testimonials changed anything? Widget views are the usual answer, and views are not an outcome. Whether visitors who saw the proof converted at a different rate is a different and more useful question. Ask each candidate directly, and ask what it divides by, because a conversion count with no session denominator is not a rate.
The alternatives people usually shortlist
Senja, Testimonial.to, Famewall and Shapo all focus on collection and display rather than surveys. They differ mostly in how many display formats they ship, how video is handled, and where their pricing steps up. Check current feature lists and pricing directly, since all of them change.
Testimoniq covers the testimonials half: collection by link, video and text in one queue, eleven display layouts, and a conversion report that compares sessions which saw the widget against sessions that did not, with the sample size shown next to each rate. It does not run NPS programmes.
How to pick without a long trial
Take one page that should be converting better. Decide where proof belongs on it. Then ask each candidate two questions: how long until a real customer quote is live in that spot, and what will it tell me in a month about whether it helped. The tools separate quickly on the second question.
The row-by-row table is on Testimoniq vs Trustmary.
Collect it. Approve it. Embed it.
Testimoniq turns customer quotes into a widget your website actually uses, no screenshots, no manual HTML.
